Intervention Programs
One of the ways we set ourselves apart from other organizations is our intentional selection of relatable mentors and counselors that deliver our intervention programs. (CIHS) brings together staff who are not only experienced in the mental health field, but have overcome similar challenges as our clients.
Our mentoring programs focus on:
- Improving the social skills of our clients
- Teaching children and adolescents about bullying, peer pressure, and dealing with violence
- Building skills in self-accountability, writing, business acumen, and financial literacy
In addition to mentoring we have intervention programs which focus on:
- Providing educational tutoring, internships and access to scholarships
- Providing access to food for families in need
- Distributing scholarships to enable former clients to serve as counselors
