CIHS provides preventative and mental healthcare services to children, adolescents and adults in the Baltimore city and county area. We are currently recruiting staffs including intake coordinators, receptionist, direct care associates and licensed rehabilitation specialist (LGPC, LGSW, LCPC, or LCSW- C) for part-time and full time positions.

INTAKE COORDINATOR
- Answers phone, schedules appointments and manages departmental paperwork.
- Reviews admission paperwork with clients admitting to CIHS.
- Makes appropriate referrals based on patients’ needs and preferences.
- Works cooperatively with internal contacts to create a therapeutic, patient-focused environment.
- Enters patient information into CIHS data management systems and departmental logs.
- Incorporates knowledge with regard to applicable laws and internal policies regarding the assessment, admission, and referral process.
- Demonstrates knowledge and practice of CIHS’s Policies and Procedures, patient rights, confidentiality, boundaries, therapeutic communication, and therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications:
- At least 2 years’ experience in a psychiatric setting or related experience.
Required Education:
- High School diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral field preferred
LICENSED REHABILITATION SPECIALIST
- Oversee the program and implementation of rehabilitation services
- Employ and supervise appropriate staff to conduct rehabilitation services participating in the program.
- Completes Rehabilitation Assessments to identify the rehabilitative needs of participating consumers.
- Lead and coordinate Individual Rehabilitation Program team meetings with engaged stakeholders, including therapists and consumers.
- Develop Individual Rehabilitation Plans for each consumer, with domain, short and long-term goals and interventions.
- Reviews admission paperwork with clients admitting to CIHS.
- Shares/transmits the mission and vision of CIHSto staff and to clients and families served.
- Provide orientation, supervision, and training including coordinating 60 hours of training to COI Workers with the support of staff developing coordinator, to assure the support and goal attainment or participating consumers.
- Collect monthly staff invoices, review invoices for accuracy, and sign invoices before submitting to director or to billing.
- Review and sign client’s daily contact notes/ monthly progress notes and record in client
- Conduct on-going assessment of staff’s performance
- Reinforce company policies; COMAR regulatory requirements, and other regulatory agency requirements.
- Provide disciplinary procedures in accordance with CIHS’s tracking record
- Enter authorizations/IRPs into Value Options
- Educate direct service staff (Direct Care Coordinator) on how to provide rehabilitation services that correlate to the goals identified in the individual’s IRP.
- Conduct staff meetings weekly for planning and assessment of staff development
- Conduct on-site trainings and coordinate off-site trainings when necessary.
- Meet with program director weekly to present updates, discuss staff concerns, program concerns, and regulatory concerns.
- Attend quarterly COI meetings with CSA and complete required documentation.
- Perform all duties within contract, state and federal regulations, Arrow policy, and CARF standards.

Qualification:
- Full time licensed LGPC, LGSW, LCPC, or LCSW- C with relevant 2+ years management experience working with children/adolescents with emotional disturbances.

DIRECT CARE COUNSELOR
Direct Care Counselor (Minors & Adolescents)
Community Intervention Healthcare Services LLC (CIHS)
Baltimore, MD
Primary Function:
The Direct Care Counselor is responsible for facilitating Community Integration, behavioral support services, and crisis intervention services to minors and adolescents, and families according to rehabilitation and therapeutic behavioral plans.
Major Responsibilities:
- Engaging assigned clients in developing and maintaining therapeutic relationships.
- Assisting clients in creating a daily structure that includes opportunities for developing skills necessary for functioning in the community.
- Implementing interventions identified on rehabilitation and therapeutic behavioral service plan.
- Developing and implementing therapeutic recreation, cultural enrichment, and independent skill development activities.
- Participating in the development and implementation of individual and rehabilitation service plans.
- Facilitating family support sessions in the client’s home.
- Utilizing rehabilitation supports and therapeutic strategies as coordinated by the rehabilitation plan treatment team.
- Responding and providing emergency crisis intervention and conflict management to assigned clients and families.
- Daily tracking, monitoring, and documenting the client’s progress in achieving established goals and utilization of community resources.
- Utilizing designated documentation tools and submitting according to schedule.
- Modeling positive behaviors and character to clients and the community at all times.
- Following communication protocol as outlined in the staff procedures.
- Ensuring clients receive assistance and support with physical and somatic health management needs.
- Ensuring clients are successful with managing their medication; and other direct service duties as assigned to promote the comprehensive and holistic well-being of youth and families.
Requirements:
A reliable and insured vehicle, CPR/First Aid Certification, 60 hours of on the job direct PRP supervision.
Qualifications:
- Have 60 hours of COI training prior to independently providing COI services;
- Have, at a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalency diploma;
Background Check:
We may not proceed with an application as an Independent Contractor – Direct Service Counselor if a candidate has a background with any of the following;
Indicated child abuse or neglect finding; or Has a conviction for: (i) Child abuse or neglect; (ii) Spousal abuse; (iii)Rape; (iv) Sexual assault; (v) Homicide; or (vi) Any crime against children; (d) Has a conviction within 5 years of applying for a job with the program for assault or a drug-related offense; or (e) Has conviction within 5 years for a violation of the Courts and Judicial Proceedings Article, §3-838 or 3-8A-30, Annotated Code of Maryland.
